Teaching Methods
Interactive-- At the beginning of each workshop I encourage participants to tell me what they hope and expect to receive from the day. This way I can tailor each workshop to provide specifically for each participant.
Questions-- I encourage questions throughout the day. I believe education is not about pouring correct answers into your memory. I don't have all the answers anyway. Instead, I work to empower you to be your own best educator. I agree with Plato who said, the answers are within you. Questions activate your essence which is the source of wisdom.
When we work at the massage tables, I prefer not to demonstrate first. Students often compare themselves with teachers and of course feel less capable. Instead, I encourage you to try and see if you already know how to feel muscles melt or unwind. Many times the participants have invented better ways that I would have shown. If you ask for assistance, I ask you to keep your hands on the person and keep doing what you were doing. I place my hands on top of yours so I can feel what you are feeling, and give you feedback about your own process, rather than trying to get you to do my process. I enjoy writing the handouts and I revise them before almost every workshop date. While I believe these handouts are of excellent quality, during our workshop I will not lecture on material included in the handouts. Your time is too valuable for me to tell you stuff that you can just as easily read later. The class time is much better spent with your hands having experiences.

I currently have 43 one-day courses. As time goes by, I do retire some courses and invent new ones in response to the needs of today's and tomorrow's therapists. These range from the Melting Muscles series, Unwinding Muscles, Atlas and Axis treatments, Usui Reiki, healing energy, communication, ethics, and Psycho-Neuro-Immunology.
