WORKSHOP HANDOUTS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS FOR THERAPISTS AND BODYWORK TEACHERS

I usually rewrite my handouts every time I teach. I will post all new handouts here. Since I teach several times a month, you will see many documents appearing here, blog style, with the newest handouts at the top of the page..

Melting More Than Muscles pdf
When I started teaching Melting Muscles in 2002, I talked more about the relationship and really connecting with the essence of the recipient, and massage therapy as a spiritual path. I grew away from that after 2004 and for years presented Melting Muscles the way I thought would be more acceptable. This 2-page handout re-introduces the spirituality of Melting Muscles.

Benefits of Melting Muscles pdf

this is simply a few bullet lists describing the benefits (for recipients) of melting muscles. Another document will be coming soon that describes the benefits for givers!

2012 Melting Muscles Supine Technique 18 p with high-definition color photographs pdf
These pages and photos were going to be a book that I published, but since the ideas changed each time I taught the class, I could never get the book to stop changing. So I abandoned the idea and posted it here for you :) I am happy with how the photos turned out at 200dpi.

Unwinding the Atlas and Axis Supplement pdf

This 4 page pdf gives a Definition of Unwinding Muscles, including my view that Muscle Contraction Is the Cause of Cranial Motion.

This is the Reiki Level One Manual I give to graduates.

here is the Reiki Master Manual that I give to graduates of the Reiki Level III training. 32 page pdf.

is the handout for my class in Hold-Relax Stretching, also called PNF Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation or MET Muscle Energy Technique. It is an Osteopathic Technique I learned from Rich Phaigh in the 1990's. I specialized in this technique for two years, before I began my specialty in CranioSacral. This document sums up what I have learned about hold-relax stretching including advanced suggestions.

Documents for Teachers (coming soon) I am in the process of posting documents here for people who would like to teach Melting Muscles, giving CE credit through my organization with NCBTMB. There are documents about the prerequisites, the philosophy, the teaching method, the type of agreement between the teacher and the organization (me). Check back soon for these docments or contact me and request them.

Please also visit my youtube channel where I have uploaded a number of instructional videos including, Unwinding Muscles: A Shoulder, and the seven-part Actions of the Obliquus Capitis Inferior, which helps people learning to melt the atlas and axis. Coming later will be more video shot in 2006 and 2008 at an Unwinding Muscles Supine workshop in Baltimore and a Melting the Atlas and Axis workshop in Phoenix. So check back over the next few months.

S L I D E S H O W S

I hope you'll "like" the Melting Muscles Page at Facebook where there are already several photosjournals of my workshops including art photography and new hand positions that students invent at workshops. For example, I've posted the high-resolution photos shot with my Nikon D80 in a mini-slide show of Midcervical Extension and Sidebending.

At the facebook page I will also be posting a few high-resolution slideshows of some time I spent with a skeleton on a massage table so check back over the upcoming months
.

these two articles, published in 2002 and 2003, are not a very good way to learn melting muscles. I include the original articles here to give a historical context, or maybe just to show off... These two articles have undergone many rewritings over the years as I handed them out in classes I taught. The PDF documents on the page above cover the same material but with far better language and images.
